World Class Coaching at Velocamp Mallorca
You have just spent the day riding some of Mallorca’s most iconic climbs. You have laughed with your group on the road, shared stories over coffee stops and soaked up the atmosphere of cycling in one of the most famous destinations in the world. Back at the villa, you have enjoyed a fresh, nutritious dinner prepared by our private chef, complete with dessert. Everyone is feeling satisfied, refuelled and relaxed.
This is when the real magic happens.
Each evening after dinner, we head upstairs to the villa’s large, comfortable lounge. This is not just a place to unwind. It is your chance to sit down in a small, private group with one of cycling’s most experienced and respected coaches, Ladi Demko. For more than 30 years, Ladi has lived and worked at the top of the sport, including five Tour de France events and coaching some of the most recognised names in cycling. Now he is here, in the room with you, ready to share his knowledge and answer your questions.
Before the keynote presentation begins, this is the perfect time to pull out your bike computer and go through the numbers. You can review your power data, look at your heart rate, see where you were most consistent, and understand what those figures actually mean. You can ask Ladi to help you identify what went right today and where you can improve tomorrow. It is your opportunity to get personal feedback that is normally reserved for professional riders.
And here is where Velocamp Mallorca is different from every other cycling holiday. While other tour operators simply take you out on daily rides, we give you something far more valuable. You get direct access to one of the top professional coaches in the sport, someone who will teach you, guide you and help you understand the why behind your riding. This means you do not just have an incredible week while you are here, you also go home as a stronger, more confident, more educated cyclist. You take that knowledge back to your club rides, your solo training and every cycling challenge you face afterwards. With most cycling trips, you ride for a week, go home, and you are the same rider you were before. With us, you leave better.
Once the questions and analysis are done, the group settles in for the evening’s keynote presentation. Over the course of the week, Ladi will cover six powerful topics that will give you tools and knowledge you can use for the rest of your cycling life. These sessions are not compulsory, but once you attend the first one, you will not want to miss a single evening.
This is your chance to learn from someone who has been in the team car behind Tour de France winners, who has managed the pressure of the biggest races in the world, and who is here to help you unlock your full potential on the bike. This is not just a holiday. It is an investment in becoming the best rider you can be.

Sports Nutrition — Why, What, When and How Much
Nutrition is the foundation of performance in cycling. If you get it right, you will feel strong and consistent from the first kilometre to the last. If you get it wrong, you will feel the energy drain and your legs will empty long before the ride is over. In this session, Ladi will take you through exactly how professional riders fuel their bodies and why it makes such a difference.
You will learn what to eat before, during and after a ride so you can get the best from yourself every day. Ladi will explain how much fuel you need depending on the terrain, the intensity and the conditions. He will show you how to time your fuelling so you never run out of energy and how to make smart choices at the coffee stop.
This is also about recovery. You will learn what to eat and drink after a ride to repair your muscles and prepare you for the next day. Ladi will share examples from the pro peloton and show you how to adapt them to your own riding. By the end, you will understand exactly how to avoid the dreaded energy crash and how to fuel like the best in the world.
Technical Performance — Your Bike and Your Gear Matter
Your bike is your engine’s partner. If it is set up and maintained properly, it will make every ride smoother, faster and more enjoyable. If it is not, you are wasting energy and limiting your potential. In this session, Ladi will explain how to make sure your equipment is working for you, not against you.
You will learn why bike fit is so important and how small adjustments can make a huge difference to comfort and power. Ladi will explain the best gear ratios for Mallorca’s climbs, how to choose the right tyres and tyre pressure, and how to prepare your bike for long days on the road. He will also talk about clothing and accessories, what works best in different conditions, and how to pack your jersey so you always have what you need without carrying unnecessary weight.
This is inside knowledge from someone who has prepared bikes for riders competing at the highest level. You will leave this session knowing exactly how to get the most from your bike and your gear so you can ride at your best.
Physical Performance — Becoming Faster, Stronger and More Efficient
Getting fitter on the bike is not about riding aimlessly. It is about training with purpose. Ladi will show you how to develop the kind of strength and endurance that makes you faster and more efficient without wasting time or effort.
You will learn how endurance rides, interval training and strength work each play a role in building your fitness. Ladi will explain how to balance hard training with recovery so you are always improving without burning out. He will also cover pedalling technique, cadence, and body position so you get the most speed for the least energy.
This is the same approach he has used to prepare professional riders for the biggest races in the world. You will leave this session with a clear understanding of how to train smarter and ride stronger for years to come.
Mental Performance — Why Mindset Matters in Cycling
Cycling is a mental battle as much as it is a physical one. A strong mindset can carry you through the hardest climbs and the longest days. In this session, Ladi will teach you how to prepare your mind as well as your body.
You will learn how to set goals that keep you motivated, how to stay focused during long rides, and how to handle the mental ups and downs that come with challenging days. Ladi will show you how to push through when everything in you is saying stop, and how to keep your confidence high even when the road gets steep.
This is the mental approach that professional riders use to perform under pressure. Once you understand it, you will never look at a tough ride the same way again.
Coaching in Cycling — Training Plans, What to Focus On and What to Avoid
There is no shortage of advice in cycling. The challenge is knowing what to listen to and what to ignore. In this session, Ladi will explain how to cut through the noise and focus on the training that works.
You will learn how to set realistic goals based on your current fitness and experience. You will discover what to focus on to make the biggest gains and what common mistakes to avoid. Ladi will show you how to track your progress and adjust your training when life gets in the way.
With decades of coaching experience, Ladi will give you the same guidance he gives to the riders he works with privately. This is your chance to learn exactly how to structure your training for long-term success.
Riding Skills — Climbing, Descending and Riding in a Group
Good bike handling is one of the most valuable skills you can have. It can make you faster, save you energy and keep you safe. In this session, Ladi will show you how to ride with confidence and control in every situation.
You will learn how to pace yourself on long climbs, how to use your gears efficiently, and how to keep your body relaxed even when the road gets steep. Ladi will explain how to descend with confidence, reading the road and taking corners smoothly. You will also learn the basics of group riding — how to position yourself, communicate and take advantage of the draft without making mistakes.
These are the skills that separate good riders from great ones. You will leave knowing exactly how to handle your bike like a pro in the mountains, on descents and in a group.
