Wondering what a day at Velocamp really looks like?
What it feels like to ride in Mallorca’s mountains with full support behind you, eat like a pro, recover in a private villa, and still have energy to laugh around the table each night?
Want to know how we fuel the rides, how we manage different rider levels, and what it’s like to live the full Velocamp experience from sunrise to sundown? Let us show you exactly how it all works, and why this week will feel like no other!
Your Home Base: The Velocamp Villa in Alaró
Nestled in the foothills of Mallorca’s majestic Serra de Tramuntana, our private seven bedroom luxury villa in Alaró is much more than just a place to stay. It is the heartbeat of the Velocamp experience.
With a large outdoor pool, multiple sun drenched terraces offering panoramic mountain views, and fig and olive trees scattered throughout the garden, it is the perfect sanctuary for rest, recovery, and connection after big days in the saddle.
What makes Alaró and our base camp truly special is not just its beauty. It is the location.
While ninety nine percent of cycling tour operators are based far up north in Pollença or Alcúdia, we chose Alaró because it offers something unique. Complete access to the entire island.
From here, our epic itinerary covers all the most iconic routes. From Cap de Formentor to Andratx and everything in between. No transfers. No repetitive loops. Legendary climbs like Coll de Sóller, Coll d’Honor, Coll de sa Batalla, and the iconic Sa Calobra all begin from our doorstep.
And then there is Alaró itself — a timeless, authentic village that reflects the real Mallorca.
Think cobbled lanes, rustic stone buildings, artisan cafés, and a sleepy village square where locals still gather every Saturday for the bustling market. It is quiet, welcoming, and untouched by mass tourism. A place where you can truly slow down and soak up local culture.
After each ride, you will return to a space that blends traditional Mallorcan architecture with modern comforts. The villa is big enough for space and privacy, yet intimate enough to feel like home.
Riders will share a spacious twin room with a teammate to enhance the communal camp atmosphere, with single occupancy available for those who prefer a little extra solitude.
Whether you are stretching under the orange trees, sharing recovery shakes by the pool, or relaxing on the terrace with views over the Tramuntana, this is where recovery becomes a ritual and community happens naturally.
This is not just a base. It is your home for the week. A place to ride hard, rest deeply, and experience Mallorca the way it was meant to be.

Fuel Like a Pro: Nutrition at Velocamp
At Velocamp, nutrition plays a crucial supporting role in helping riders perform, recover, and feel their best throughout the week.
Fuelled by our private in house chef, our camp riders enjoy performance focused meals designed to support recovery, optimise energy, and bring everyone together around the table like a true cycling team.
Each day begins with a sit down breakfast buffet that rivals any pro camp.
But more importantly, this is where the fuelling starts. We do not do bacon sandwiches. We eat like athletes.
Expect a mix of oatmeal pancakes, fresh pastries, protein rich smoothies, porridge, pancakes, breads, and even rice or pasta for those who want easily digestible, carb rich energy. Many riders choose steamed rice at breakfast, a staple for endurance athletes, to stock up on clean fuel for the day’s effort.
It is a quiet, communal moment before we roll out, relaxed, focused, and well fuelled.
When the ride is done, recovery comes simply. The villa welcomes you back with freshly prepared smoothies and a slice of home made cake, or cookies. Just enough to replenish, refresh, and restore while the body rests. Most riders prefer to head straight for the shower and let the legs unwind.
The evening is when the main meal is served, the true highlight of the day. Plates are plentiful and vibrant: grilled fish, barbecue feasts, homemade pizzas, risottos, and nourishing soups. Every dish is designed to restore energy, repair muscles, and satisfy appetites after long hours in the saddle.
All dietary needs and intolerances can be catered for. No one is left out at the Velocamp table.
Meals are shared around a long table, reinforcing the team bond and giving riders a chance to connect, debrief, and recharge together. Alcohol is not part of this camp. Recovery is.
From start to finish, every bite is designed to help you ride harder, recover faster, and feel your best.
This is not hotel buffet cycling. This is pro level fuelling, Velocamp style.
Riding Together, Pushing Individually: How We Manage Varying Levels
One of the most common questions we hear is how we keep the group together when every rider has their own pace and strength. The answer is simple. Velocamp is a cycling holiday, not a race, and the way we ride reflects that.
We welcome riders with a wide range of abilities. You do not need to be fast or experienced, but we do recommend having a reasonable base level of fitness so you can enjoy the week comfortably. If you ride regularly and feel excited about spending a few hours on the bike each day, you will fit in perfectly.
Out on the road, we stay together on the flat sections, chatting, enjoying the scenery and rolling through the island at a relaxed and sociable pace. When we reach the climbs, everyone rides at the pace that feels comfortable for them. There is no pressure to keep up with anyone and no expectation to push harder than you want to.
Stronger riders usually arrive at the top a little earlier, and when they do, they gently roll back down to rejoin the group, keeping everyone connected without making anyone feel rushed or held back. By the time we reach the top of each climb, we arrive together again as a single group.
Our support vehicle stays nearby at all times, offering water, snacks, encouragement and constant reassurance. No one is ever left on their own, and no one feels like they are slowing the group down.
The goal of every day is simple. Ride together. Enjoy the roads. Support one another. Whether you are first to the top or cruising steadily behind, you are part of the same group, sharing the same experience and enjoying the same beautiful routes.
At Velocamp, the only thing that matters is that you love cycling and want to enjoy a week of great rides with great people. Everything else takes care of itself.

Your Rolling Team Car: Support That Moves With You
At Velocamp Mallorca, you will never ride alone, because every kilometre of every ride is supported by our dedicated Velocamp team vehicle, following the group just like you would see in the pro peloton.
This is not just a van with tools in the back. It is a game changer for how you train. Instead of stuffing your jersey with food, spare clothing, tools, and tubes, you can hand it all over to the support vehicle.
No saddlebag. No bulging pockets. No carrying the weight of a mini workshop on your back. Just you, your bike, and the open road, free to ride faster, climb lighter, and focus on your training.
Inside the support car is everything you might need. Spare wheels, tools, inner tubes, hydration tabs, snacks, fresh fruit, cold drinks, and most importantly, a daily selection of chef prepared wraps, made fresh each morning by our in house chef.
When it is time to refuel mid ride, we will find a shady spot, stop, and recharge with real food, not just gels, giving your body exactly what it needs to keep going strong.
If you puncture, we have got it covered. Mechanical issue, we will sort it roadside. Feeling empty halfway through the ride, we have already got your next bottle chilled and ready.
Should anything unexpected happen — a niggle, a crash, or a 'call it' early moment, the support vehicle is there, ready to help, calmly and quickly.
But the support vehicle is not just practical. It is part of the Velocamp experience.
It is pro level training made personal.
And yes, you will feel like a pro, because the photographer will be capturing those magic moments as they unfold. You powering up Coll de Sóller, winding through mountain switchbacks, or recovering with a group smile under the shade of the support van.
At the end of the week, you will go home with a full gallery of professional photos and videos to remember the experience.
For one week, you get to leave behind the noise of everyday life. The to do lists, the supermarket runs, the inbox, and live the life of a cyclist in training camp mode.
No distractions. No stress. Just you, the bike, the team, and the dream.
This is your pro experience.
This is Velocamp.
Arrival in Style: Airport Transfers & VIP Welcome
At Velocamp Mallorca, the pro level experience does not start on the bike. It starts the moment you land.
When you book onto a camp with us, airport transfers are included as part of the package. That means no waiting for crowded buses, no wrestling with bike bags in a taxi queue, and no navigating foreign transport systems while jet lagged. From the minute you walk out of Palma airport, we have got you covered.
Your private transfer will take you directly from the terminal to our villa in Alaró in comfort. No coaches, no delays, no stress. Just you, your bags, and a quiet drive into the Tramuntana foothills.
Because let us be honest… you would not expect Wout van Aert to wait at a bus stop with his kit bag when he arrives for the Tour, would you?
This is your pro camp week, and we treat it like one.
We are also more than happy to advise on the best flights to get you here. Mallorca is incredibly accessible, whether you are flying from the UK, mainland Europe, or the United States.
For our American riders, great news. Direct flights are now available from Newark, New Jersey straight into Palma, making the journey smoother than ever for anyone flying from the East Coast.
And if you are connecting through Europe, it is just a short hop from Barcelona, Madrid, London, or Frankfurt to Mallorca’s international airport.
Easy access is one of the many reasons why Mallorca is the cycling capital of Europe, and getting here is simpler than most people expect.
So wherever you are coming from, you will arrive feeling calm, cared for, and ready to train, not drained from a stressful journey!
Your Velocamp experience starts the moment you land.

Recover Like a Pro: The Other Half of the Ride
Yes Velocamp is a challenge. Yes you’ll ride hard.
But what truly separates a good week on the bike from a great one is how well you recover.
At Velocamp Mallorca, every ride is wrapped up by around 1 p.m., giving you the rest of the day to rest, reset, and prepare for what’s ahead. Recovery isn’t something we squeeze in. It’s part of the rhythm. Just like the pros, we ride with purpose and we recover with intention.
Back at the villa, the afternoons are yours. Riders often find themselves stretched out by the pool, soaking up the sun, recounting the climbs of the morning, and enjoying the easy, natural camaraderie that forms when people push themselves together. That community spirit, the laughter, the chats and the shared effort is part of recovery too. It’s mentally recharging, and just as important as any routine or treatment.
For those looking to go a little deeper, recovery can also mean receiving a 20-minute leg massage from our professionally trained sports massage therapist. These are included for every rider in your package. Not a luxury, but a tool to keep your body working as it should.
There are also optional stretching clinics held at the villa, led with the goal of increasing flexibility and reducing tension, so you wake up each day feeling better than the last. At some point during the week, we’ll also offer a light yoga, Pilates, or meditation session. No pressure to join, but it might just surprise you how much you enjoy it.
Whether you’re actively recovering or simply unwinding in the shade with your teammates, every part of the Velocamp experience is designed to help you feel stronger, looser, and more comfortable on the bike, so you can show up each day and give it everything.
At Velocamp, recovery isn’t an afterthought.
It’s part of the plan.
Transcend Recovery Experience (Optional Add-On)
Welcome to next-level recovery. Midway through your Velocamp week, you’ll have the option to join us for a powerful afternoon at Transcend, Mallorca’s leading recovery studio trusted by athletes, triathletes, and high-performance cyclists from all over Europe.
When It Happens:
The Transcend experience takes place after ride three, following our flatter, recovery-paced ride. We’ll return to the villa for a relaxed, chef-prepared lunch, then around 2:30 in the afternoon, riders who have opted in will travel together in the Velocamp shuttle to Palma for their session.
The full recovery circuit lasts approximately 60 to 70 minutes, guided by the expert Transcend team.
What’s Included:
- Infrared sauna to support deep muscle relaxation and circulation
- Cold plunge therapy at 2 and 9 degrees for flushing fatigue and reducing inflammation
- Jacuzzi access for gentle contrast therapy
- Red light therapy to support tissue regeneration and cellular recovery
- Towels and flip-flops are provided, and everything is professionally guided to ensure you get the most from each part of the session.
Your Velocamp Kit: Because This Is How Pro Camps Roll
When you arrive at Velocamp Mallorca, you’re not just showing up to ride. You’re showing up to be part of a team. And every proper team has its kit.
That’s why, when you book onto one of our camps, you’ll be kitted out with your very own Velocamp Mallorca jersey and high-end bib shorts. Fully branded, dialled in, and yours to keep.
This isn’t basic merch. It’s quality stuff you’ll actually want to wear. The kind of gear that would set you back nearly €350 in a shop. And it is included in your camp price.
Just like Jumbo Visma or UAE Team Emirates roll into training camp in matching kit, we do the same. When the Velocamp crew heads out onto the roads of Mallorca, we look like we mean it. One unit. One team. And let’s be honest, it just looks cool. It sets the tone.
You roll out of the villa together on day one in your new kit and suddenly it all feels real. You’re not on holiday. You’re here to ride.
A few weeks before you arrive, within 60 days of your camp, we’ll send you a sizing form to make sure everything fits just right. No guessing. No dodgy sizing surprises. Just the right kit, ready and waiting when you turn up.
And to keep things fresh, your kit will be washed by the Velocamp team every evening. So you’ll have clean, good-smelling kit to ride in each day, no matter how hard you went the day before.
You’ll ride in it, train in it, eat post-ride snacks in it, and probably laugh a lot in it too. And at the end of the week, you’ll take it home with you. A bit salty, maybe a little sun-faded, but packed with memories of one of the best weeks on a bike you’ve ever had.
This is how pro camps do it. And so do we.
