Day 1: Saturday

Arrival & Pro Team Welcome

From the moment you land in Mallorca, you are treated like a VIP. Our team will be waiting at Palma airport to transfer you directly to the Velocamp villa, your private cycling base in Alaró, surrounded by mountains and designed for performance, comfort, and recovery.

Once you arrive, it is time to settle in, meet the group, and take your first breath of clean Mallorcan air. The villa is your home for the week, complete with a large outdoor pool, private chef’s kitchen, massage and recovery zone, compression therapy area, and dedicated bike setup station.

As the sun sets, your first team dinner is served by our in-house chef, fresh, nourishing food to fuel the days ahead. You will meet your fellow riders, the Velocamp staff, and your support crew, who will be with you throughout the week both on and off the road.

The evening continues with a relaxed welcome briefing where we go over the week’s plan, the riding schedule, and how everything works at camp. While you unwind, our mechanic will fine-tune your brand-new Canyon bike with Di2 and power meter and ensure your Velocamp kit fits perfectly.

By the end of the night, you are no longer just a guest. You are part of the Velocamp family, ready to ride, recover, and experience Mallorca like never before.

Switchbacks & DESCENTS

Our first full day of cycling kicks off with a pro-style breakfast from our villa chef. Oats, fruits, protein pancakes and strong coffee, all timed and tailored to fuel what is ahead.

We roll out from the villa as a team, wheels humming through the early light and narrow lanes of Alaró. We cruise through the back lanes of Lloseta and Biniamar, spinning through sleepy villages with mountain silhouettes ahead. It is the kind of morning you dream of, smooth roads, crisp air and big goals ahead.

Selva is where the mood shifts. The road narrows and the climb begins at Coll de sa Batalla. Hairpins stacked like dominoes. No traffic lights. No rest, just pure grit all the way to the top. A twenty minute effort up one of the most iconic climbs in Mallorca. Switchback after switchback. You find your rhythm. You fight for focus. You push on. The top is waiting.

At the summit, we regroup. And now the reward begins. Coll de Femenia lies ahead. One of the longest and most glorious descents in Mallorca. The road is wide. The corners flow. The views stretch all the way to the horizon. You feel fast. You feel free. You feel like you belong here.

Pollença greets us at the bottom. The pace eases. Riders chat again. Bottles are drained. The final stretch takes us through the peaceful farmlands of Campanet. Rolling roads. Golden fields. Legs spinning easily now as the villa draws nearer.

Back at Basecamp, cold smoothies are already on the table. Massage beds are being prepared. The chef is prepping dinner, and the kits are gathered for washing. Riders stretch in the garden or slip into the pool. The training has started, but the pressure has not.

As the sun sets, the team gathers outside for an incredible al fresco dinner prepared by our private chef. Long wooden tables, warm air, plates arriving straight from the villa kitchen, and the soundtrack of laughter as everyone shares stories from the day. This is where strangers begin to feel like teammates and where the heart of Velocamp truly comes alive.

You have ridden hard. You have eaten well. You have laughed with people who already feel like friends.

Day One at Velocamp is complete with 81km and 1,170m already in the legs.

COASTAL: THE ISLAND TRAVERSE

Today, we ride the island's wild west, a route that feels like a stage straight out of the Vuelta. We call it The Island Traverse, and it’s one of the most beautiful and demanding routes Mallorca has to offer.

After fuelling up, we head west from Alaró and warm into the day via Esporles, before linking into the legendary Ma-10 coastal road. From Banyalbufar to Andratx, it’s a rollercoaster of climbs, sweeping descents, and clifftop views that’ll stick with you for life. Freshly resurfaced with its sweeping corners, cliffside views, and rolling terrain, it’s one of the most exhilarating stretches of tarmac you'll ever ride.

From there, we climb to the peaceful village of Galilea, descend into Puigpunyent, and take on the sharp gradients of Es Grau, a gritty final test before the terrain finally eases. A long, winding descent into Palmanyola leads us into the flatlands for a fast group roll back to Alaró.

With over 115km of riding and 1824m of relentless elevation, it’s a day that demands focus and rewards every pedal stroke.

Back at base, it's recovery time. Relax into your daily massage, mobility movements, pool time and nutritous fueling. You’ve just ridden one of Mallorca’s true classics — and you owned it!

RECOVERY: INLAND FLATS

Even the pros take a recovery day, and today, so do you.

After two big days in the mountains, it’s time to let the body absorb the work. This morning’s ride is short, smooth, and beautiful. We roll out at an easy pace and loop through some of the island’s most stunning inland villages. These are the places most tourists never get to see. Think sleepy cafés, cobbled streets, and quiet country roads with nothing but donkeys, bougainvillea and the views of the Tramuntana in the distance.

This is an active recovery ride with a purpose: To keep the legs spinning, flush out fatigue, and give your system a reset before we hit the final block of training.

Back at the villa, the pro recovery process kicks in: massage, compression, good food, and plenty of chill time. We’ll also run a nutrition and recovery workshop, giving you real tools and insight you can take home and apply to your own training life.

With just 687m of elevation over 71km, it's a welcome rest day, but today is all about stepping back to move forward. Your body needs it, your legs will thank you, and come tomorrow, you’ll be ready to go again. Because recovery isn’t a break from training. It’s part of it.

CLIMBING: MOUNTAIN VILLAGES

Today’s ride is a postcard come to life. A route that winds through Mallorca’s most beautiful coastal mountain towns, with world class roads and unforgettable views from start to finish.

We roll out of Alaró and head toward Bunyola, warming up through quiet country lanes before hitting the legendary Coll de Sóller. With over 5 kilometres of iconic switchbacks and hairpins, now is the time to push hard on the pedals as the team chase each other up and over the crest.

Full of adrenaline and lactate here but you can feel the difference in your legs, your pacing, and your confidence. This is what progression feels like.

From the top, we enjoy a 10 kilometre descent before we track west into the heart of the Serra de Tramuntana, climbing steadily toward the picture perfect village of Deià, often called the prettiest village in Spain. Terraced hillsides, sea views, stone houses. It’s a cycling paradise.

The road continues to Valldemossa, a dramatic mountain town perched high in the hills, before tipping downward into a long thrilling descent through Palmanyola.

The final stretch takes us through rolling village lanes, all the way back to Alaró.

With punchy climbs, sweeping views, and perfect tarmac traversing more than 1250 metres over an action packed 80 kilometre ride, this is one of the most rewarding rides of the week.

Back at the villa, bikes cleaned, kits washed, legs up, and dinner already cooking.

Just another day in the pro life.

Day 6: Thursday

The Icon: Sa Calobra

Today is about ticking off a true icon. Sa Calobra. The climb that defines cycling in Mallorca and stands among the most legendary roads in Europe.

We roll out early from Alaró to stay ahead of the high season traffic, riding north through peaceful lanes before arriving at the famous Coll de sa Batalla climb. Its more than 20 switchbacks will definitely warm up the legs for what is to come.

From there, we pass through the pine tree lined valley of Lluc before reaching the crown jewel. The descent into Sa Calobra.

It is 9.5 kilometres of hairpins, carved into the cliffs, dropping to sea level in a ribbon of perfect tarmac. Our photographer will be waiting on the descent, capturing epic high speed shots of you carving corners like a Grand Tour pro.

At the bottom, it is time for our Climb Out Challenge. A timed ascent back up the world famous Sa Calobra. It is all about pacing, grit, and personal pride. Bragging rights are up for grabs here!

Once we regroup at the summit, it's lunch time at the support van before the ride home together. Tired, buzzing, and full of stories.

With over 2000 metres of elevation and another 100 kilometres in the bank, it feels good to be back at the villa. Massage, food, rest.

You just conquered Sa Calobra. And we have got the photos to prove it.

ROAD TO THE SUN: CAP DE FORMENTOR

Our final ride takes us to the edge of Mallorca, the stunning Cap de Formentor, where the mountains meet the sea and the road simply runs out.

We begin the day by taking the Velocamp cycling shuttle from our villa to the beautiful Pollença Bay. There are two reasons for this. One is to save the legs on the final day, and the other is to reach the lighthouse before the roads get busy, giving us the best possible start to this iconic ride.

From the bay, the road rises gently before twisting through pine forests and along the coast toward Cap de Formentor. With every turn, the views open wider. Endless blue water, towering cliffs, and the unmistakable feeling that we are riding toward something special.

When the lighthouse comes into view, it marks more than the end of the road. It marks the culmination of the week. Here, overlooking the Mediterranean, we hold our Velocamp Rider of the Week ceremony, celebrating the rider who has shown heart, teamwork, and steady progress throughout the camp.

Your Velocamp support van is waiting with cold drinks, chef prepared treats, and a toast of non alcoholic champagne to celebrate the week we have shared together.

After soaking in the moment, we roll back through the winding roads to Pollença, then cruise easily across the flatlands toward basecamp. By the time we arrive back at the villa, we will have banked 81 kilometres and 1,365 metres of elevation, one final ride to remember.

That evening, the celebration continues at the villa with a spectacular poolside barbecue under the stars. Our Brazilian chef fires up the traditional charcoal grill, preparing an unforgettable feast that fills the garden with incredible aromas. The food is outstanding, the laughter is loud, the atmosphere is warm and relaxed, and the sense of camaraderie runs deep.

The riding may be done, but the spirit of the week lingers, a shared journey that stays with you long after the legs recover.

The Ride Home

No one ever wants this part to come but here we are. Bags packed, kits folded, bikes boxed, and a week we will never forget behind us.

This morning is about winding down and saying goodbye to your teammates, but like everything at Velocamp, we have got it covered.

We will help you collect your gear, return pedals and saddles if needed, and double check everything is prepped for travel. Nothing rushed. No stress.

Then it is into the team car for one final team transfer to Palma Airport. Some sleepy smiles, a few hugs, and plenty of talk about next time.

It is hard to put this week into words. You came here as a cyclist, maybe solo, maybe unsure, maybe looking for something bigger. You leave with stronger legs, sharper skills, and a new crew that feels like family.

We trained hard, climbed high, descended fast, laughed loud, and lived the pro life together.

Thank you for being part of this.

The riding may be done, but the journey does not end here. Mallorca is still waiting, and so are we.

See you on the road.
