I know a week at Velocamp is a real investment, and I think it's only fair that I'm upfront with you about exactly what's included, rather than leave you guessing whether the price actually stacks up. So let's break it down properly.
When you book with us, you get a brand new Canyon Endurace road bike, fully built and sized for you, with the option of one of our top of the range e-bikes if you'd prefer a bit of assistance. You get your Velocamp team cycling kit and your 4KAAD eyewear. You get a private villa for the week, not a hotel room shared with strangers passing through, but a proper home base with a pool and space to relax. You get a private chef preparing every single meal, breakfast through to dinner, built around what you actually need to fuel a week of riding. You get a daily massage from a professional sports physio, and full access to our recovery kit, including the premium Reboots compression boots. You get multiple guides out on the road with you every single day, along with a fully stocked support van that means you never wait, never queue, and never run short on the road. And you get every transfer taken care of, from the airport to the villa and back again.
Now, if you tried to arrange all of that yourself, what would it actually cost? A villa in Alaró, in a genuinely prime location like ours, is going to run you five to seven thousand euros for the week, especially in high season. A private chef is at least five hundred and fifty euros a day, so over six days you're already looking at well over three thousand euros just for that. Daily massage, if you can even get someone to come out to your villa or hotel, is going to cost at least a couple of hundred euros a day. Bike hire is at least two hundred euros, if you can find one at all, because in high season everything is sold out. Then you've got your kit, at least two hundred and fifty euros, and a decent pair of cycling sunglasses like our 4KAAD pair will set you back another one hundred and seventy euros. And that's before you've even thought about airport transfers, a hire car, or the hours spent trying to plan the best routes yourself.
Now, I'll be honest with you, there are cheaper organized options out there in Mallorca. But almost all of them are based up in Puerto Pollença, which is a long way from the best cycling on the island. You'll usually get a much cheaper bike, you'll be staying in a three star hotel eating buffet food, and you'll often be riding in a group of thirty or forty other guests, with little to no personal service or personal attention. We see it all the time, someone has a mechanical, or drops off the back of the group, and they're left completely alone, because there's normally only one guide riding at the front who has no idea what's happening further back.
That's a huge part of what you're actually paying for with us. Small groups, multiple guides, and real personal attention throughout the week. And because we're based in Alaró rather than up in Pollença, every single ride starts and finishes right from our villa. No shuttles, no taxis, no wasted time being driven out to the good roads. From our doorstep, we ride out to Sa Calobra, Cap de Formentor, and the entire MA10 coast road all the way down to Andratx. We take in all of the best climbs in the southwest, like Galilea and Es Grau, as well as the ones through the middle of the island like Santa Lucia and Santa Magdalena, all without a single transfer. Almost every other operator on the island has to shuttle their guests out to these same climbs, because they're simply too far away from where they're based. We don't have that problem, because we're already in the right place, and that's a big part of what you're paying for when you come with us.
And that's really the part people forget to put a value on. Your time. You could spend the weeks leading up to your holiday researching routes, messaging bike shops, comparing villas, and hoping you've made the right calls. Or you could arrive with nothing but your pedals, your shoes and your helmet, and know that every single detail has already been taken care of for you. That, to me, is worth just as much as anything on the list above. You're not just paying for a service. You're paying to actually switch off and enjoy your holiday, which is exactly what it should be.
So is it worth it? I'll let our guests answer that one for you. Just go ahead and read through the reviews on the website, or check out the video testimonials section to see exactly what our guests have to say. Time and time again, people tell us it's the best cycling holiday they've ever had, and more than that, the best value for what they got. Once you've experienced a week at Velocamp, you'll understand exactly what I mean.
If you're ready to find out for yourself, get in touch through the website or drop us a message on WhatsApp, and we'll get everything sorted for you.
